Assam Congress to Announce By-Poll Candidates on October 19

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will announce its candidates for the November 13 by-polls in five Assembly constituencies on October 19. APCC chief Bhupen Kumar Borah confirmed the news, stating that a final meeting with the by-poll committees will be held before the announcement. Borah expressed satisfaction with the party’s preparations but raised concerns over increasing violence in Assam’s elections, citing recent incidents in the Samaguri constituency.
