Assam CPI-M MLA Denies Syndicate Bribery Allegations

CPI-M MLA Manoranjan Talukdar denied allegations of seeking money from syndicates, stating he would resign if proven guilty. The issue was raised in the Assam Assembly by BJP MLA Manab Deka, who urged an investigation. Talukdar claimed an AI-generated audio clip was being used against him and vowed to approach the court. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the controversy but stated the House cannot determine the authenticity of the clip. The matter will be addressed in the next Assembly session and forwarded to the Ethics Committee.
