Assam Deputy Speaker Backs Rajnath Singh’s Remark on Changing Borders

Assam Deputy Speaker Numal Momin backed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s comments that national borders can change and areas like PoK and parts of Bangladesh could be reclaimed. Momin said the remarks were natural since Pakistan and Bangladesh were once part of India and argued that reclaiming such regions could protect persecuted minorities.

He also criticised Congress for opposing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, accusing the party of depending on illegal voters. The nationwide verification drive is currently underway in multiple states and Union Territories.
