Assam Drop Teachers Protest Job Regularisation Delay

The All Assam Drop Teachers Association protested in Guwahati, demanding job regularisation and pending payments for years of work. Around 5,500 teachers voiced concerns over unequal treatment compared to provincialised counterparts.

Demonstrators planned to protest at Janata Bhawan but were detained and moved to Chachal by police. Protestors urged Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to intervene, citing years of neglect and discrimination.
