Assam Gears Up for PM Modi’s Visit, Bio-Ethanol Refinery Launch

Assam is preparing for PM Narendra Modi’s September 13 visit. He will inaugurate India’s first bamboo-based bio-ethanol refinery in Numaligarh on September 14 and address a rally of nearly 1 lakh people. Modi will also lay the foundation of a Rs 7,000-crore polypropylene project and attend Bhupen Hazarika’s birth centenary celebrations. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed arrangements and announced plans to reopen Kaziranga National Park soon.
