Assam Girl Rescued After 6 Years of Trafficking in Arunachal

A minor girl from Assam, trafficked and sold in Arunachal Pradesh six years ago, was rescued in a joint operation by Tinsukia Police and Itanagar WPS. She was found at a woman’s residence in Itanagar and is in stable condition. Police revealed she was sold for ₹2 lakh by relatives in 2018. A probe is underway to trace others involved, with authorities warning against employing minors without police verification.
