Assam Government Promotes Two Senior PWRD Officials to Chief Engineer Posts

Guwahati: The Assam Government has promoted two senior Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) officials to Chief Engineer positions. Hemanta Dewri Bharali, previously Additional Chief Engineer (Planning) and Acting Chief Engineer (Roads), has been appointed Chief Engineer (Roads). He will continue holding the additional charge of Planning until further orders.

Meanwhile, Mridul Das, Additional Chief Engineer (C), Western Zone, has been appointed Chief Engineer (National Highways), PWD (Roads), Assam, while retaining his previous responsibilities. The official order, signed by Commissioner and Special Secretary Sanjiv Shyam, stated that the appointments were made in the interest of public service.
