Assam Govt Begins Talks on AIIMS-Model Medical Institute in Barak Valley

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said preliminary discussions are underway to set up an AIIMS-model medical institute in the Barak Valley.

He said the proposal is still at an early stage, with land options being explored, including one offered by MLA Krishnendu Paul. The move aims to ensure advanced healthcare access across the state.
