Assam Govt Raises Police Constable Age Limit, Announces Key Recruitment Reliefs

The Assam government has increased the maximum age limit for police constable recruitment from 25 to 26 years, while keeping the minimum age at 18. The application period will also be extended by 15 days. The “Swagata Satirtha” portal will reopen to allow mutual transfers for third and fourth category employees and ADRE candidates in early February. Persons with disabilities will be given a second medical examination during recruitment. The Education Department has been directed to open the portal for Venture school teachers. The measures aim to benefit job aspirants and government employees across the state.
