Assam Govt Reshuffles 39 Police Officers Ahead of Co-District Expansion

The Assam government has transferred 39 APS and IPS officers as part of a major police reshuffle tied to its co-district governance model. Ten new co-districts will become operational from August 15, raising the total to 49. Young officers from APS (2013–2022) and IPS (2021–2022) batches have been appointed as Co-District SPs to enhance grassroots policing and public service delivery.
