Assam Govt Transfers Several Senior Police Officers in Major Reshuffle

The Assam Government has carried out a significant reshuffle of senior police officials across key districts and departments.

Akshat Garg, SP of Chirang, has been moved to Kokrajhar, while Numal Mahatta shifts to Guwahati as DCP (West). Dhruba Bora becomes the new SP of Chirang.

Amitabh Basumatary takes over as SP, SB (Security), replacing Mantu Thakuria, who is now DCP (Security) in Guwahati. Syed Abdus Samad Hussain moves to SP (V&AC-F), and Somalin Subhadarsini becomes Commandant of APTC Dergaon.

Tinsukia ASP (Crime) Nishant Saurabh has been posted as ASP (Security) to the Chief Minister. All changes take effect once officers assume their new roles.
