Assam Introduces OMR Sheets in HSLC Exams for the First Time, Affects Four Key Subjects
The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination commenced today across 916 centers in Assam, marking a significant milestone as the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), introduced Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets for the first time. The OMR sheets will be utilized in general mathematics, general science, social science, and English subjects. These subjects will now have a total of 90 marks each, consisting of 45 objective-type questions, while the remaining 45 questions will be of descriptive type, requiring a separate answer sheet. The exam is scheduled to conclude on March 16, 2024, with a total of 4,27,922 students participating.
