The Assam Government has launched the ₹3,875-crore Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Roads Development Project (ADRHRDP) with support from the World Bank to improve climate-resilient connectivity in Dima Hasao.

The six-year project will upgrade and rehabilitate over 500 km of roads, benefiting nearly 1.9 lakh people, especially in tribal and rural areas. It will also include rural freight corridors, ropeways, and flood and landslide early warning systems to strengthen disaster preparedness and support socio-economic development in the hill district.
