Assam Launches Musical Cruise to Honour Bhupen Hazarika’s Centenary

On Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s 100th birth anniversary, Assam flagged off a 10-day musical cruise, “Bistirno Parore”, along the Brahmaputra from Tinsukia to Dhubri. Ten artistes will perform his iconic songs at various stops, engaging with communities and celebrating his legacy of unity and brotherhood. Organised with the Inland Waterways Authority of India, the voyage pays tribute to the “Bard of Brahmaputra,” echoing his timeless melodies across the state.
