Assam Leads India’s Swadeshi 4G Rollout

Assam has installed 2,053 Swadeshi 4G towers, leading India’s fully indigenous mobile network initiative. The state will also host a BSNL data centre in Guwahati and a 5G research lab at Gauhati University, boosting digital growth and telecom innovation. The network aims to expand to 5G, with 6G planned by 2030.
