Assam Police Arrests Two in Latest Anti-Drug Operations

Assam Police arrested Gautam Sarkar, owner of Sarkar Brothers in Bijni, for possession of 0.53 grams of narcotics. The police raided his shop based on a tip-off. Sarkar is now under investigation.

In a separate operation near Guwahati Railway Station, police arrested Ariful Ali with 29 grams of heroin. These arrests highlight Assam’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, though the narcotics issue persists despite frequent crackdowns.
