Assam Police Seizes Drugs Worth ₹12 Crore in Cachar

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday lauded a major anti-narcotics operation conducted by Cachar Police at Kathalbasti near Kathal Bypass.

In the raid, police seized 40,000 yaba tablets valued at around ₹12 crore and arrested one drug peddler.

Sharing the development on X, the Chief Minister wrote, “High Hopes, Hard Fall ₹12 crore Drug Seized!” while congratulating Assam Police for the successful operation.

The CM further praised the force for its precise action, reaffirming the government’s tough stance against drug trafficking in the state.
