Assam Police Suspect Third-Party Role in Baksa Jail Violence

Assam Police claimed evidence of third-party involvement in the Baksa Jail violence that injured several people. SP Ujjal Pratim Baruah said some individuals provoked the initially peaceful protest, leading to stone-pelting. Around 35 police personnel were injured, and two protesters were hit by rubber bullets. Authorities confirmed normalcy has returned, with senior officers monitoring the area. IGP Akhilesh Kumar Singh said internet services will be restored once full stability is ensured.
