Assam Seeks Fresh High-Level Talks with Nagaland Over Border Dispute

Mariani, Assam: The Assam government has proposed fresh administrative and political-level talks with Nagaland to resolve the decades-old interstate border dispute. Border Protection and Development Minister Atul Bora said dialogue is the only path to a permanent solution and reiterated the state’s commitment to resolving the issue through mutual understanding. He also reviewed the disputed border area and said a decision on the proposed BRO road project will be taken after consultations with local representatives, the district administration and the Chief Minister.
