Assam State Zoo Introduces Special Summer Menu to Protect Animals from Heat

As temperatures rise in Guwahati, the Assam State Zoo-Botanical Garden has implemented measures to ensure the well-being of its animals. Divisional Forest Officer Ashwini Kumar noted the challenges of the summer heat, which can cause lethargy and exhaustion among the animals. In response, the zoo has introduced a special summer menu, including seasonal fruits and electrolyte-rich rice juices, to keep the animals hydrated and refreshed. This initiative, reflecting a commitment to animal welfare, will continue throughout the summer, highlighting the zoo’s dedication to adapting to changing weather conditions and ensuring the health of its inhabitants.
