Assam STF Arrests Two Men from UP, Seizes Fake Gold in Maligaon Raid

The Assam Special Task Force (STF) arrested two men from Uttar Pradesh, Ahamad and Rahis Ahamad, in a raid near Maligaon’s Nilachal flyover. They were found with fake gold weighing 1.36 kg, cash, and a hacksaw blade. The arrests followed specific intelligence inputs. Legal proceedings are underway, and investigations continue. This bust comes after a similar operation in June, where East Guwahati Police seized fake gold and counterfeit currency.
