Assam Tea Production Rises by 14 Million kg in June 2026

Guwahati, August 7: Assam recorded a significant rise in tea production in June 2026, producing 85.60 million kg, an increase of 14.02 million kg compared to 71.58 million kg in June 2025, according to the Tea Board India. Small tea growers contributed 43.25 million kg, while big growers produced 42.35 million kg.

Across India, tea production also increased to 160.43 million kg in June 2026 from 140.57 million kg during the same period last year, with CTC tea accounting for the largest share of the country’s output.
