Assam Teachers’ Forum Urges Government to Address Education Sector Issues

The Sadou Asom Sanmilita Shikshak Mancha has urged the Assam government to protect the dignity of teachers and resolve long-pending issues in the education sector.

During a meeting in Sivasagar, the organisation raised concerns over pressure on teachers, problems with the Shiksha Setu App, delayed recruitment, pension restoration, and lack of adequate school resources.

The forum also welcomed initiatives such as teacher recruitment drives, online transfer systems and student welfare schemes, while demanding faster reforms and better working conditions for teachers.
