Assam to Boost Cybersecurity with New National Cyber Forensics Lab
Assam will establish India’s second National Cyber Forensics Lab (NCFL) at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon, to combat rising cybercrime. The lab will strengthen the state’s cyber defense and enhance its ability to tackle online fraud.
The Assam police signed an MoU with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) for this initiative. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah for supporting the project, aligning it with the “Safe Cyber Space Campaign.”
Assam’s new NCFL will complement the existing lab in Tripura.
