Assam to Release PMAY Funds for 3.7 Lakh New Beneficiaries on December 9

Assam will release Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) funds for about 3.70 lakh new beneficiaries on December 9. The announcement was made by Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, who said the Chief Minister will jointly lead the state-level programme in Boko.
An additional 12,000 houses have also been approved. On the same day, meetings will be held across all constituencies, and the first instalment will be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, enabling immediate construction.
District administrations have been instructed to ensure smooth implementation. PMAY aims to provide permanent housing support to economically weaker and rural households under the “Housing for All” initiative.
