Assam Transport Minister Urges People to Use Public Transport Amid Fuel Price Rise

Assam Transport Minister Charan Boro has urged people to reduce the use of private vehicles and rely more on buses and trains due to rising petrol and diesel prices.
The minister said the government is also cutting unnecessary official travel and holding departmental meetings online to save fuel. He assured that steps would be taken to improve public transport and manage growing traffic congestion in cities.
Boro added that discussions with officials and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be held soon to review transport policies and infrastructure.
