Assam Worker Found Dead in Bengaluru, Family Suspects Foul Play

A 32-year-old migrant worker from Lakhimpur district in Assam, identified as Sanjoy Bhowmik, was found dead at his workplace in Bengaluru on May 1.
Bhowmik, who worked as a machine operator at SB Industries, was discovered near a machine inside the factory. His family has alleged foul play, claiming the factory was closed for the May Day holiday and that injuries were visible on his body.
The family has demanded a proper investigation and the return of his body to Assam. The incident has again raised concerns over the safety of Assamese migrant workers employed outside the state.
