ASTC Adjusts City Bus Routes in Shantipur, Bhutnath, and Machkhowa

The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) has partially adjusted the routes of about 10 city buses in Shantipur, Bhutnath, and Machkhowa areas. This follows a directive from the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Chairman and Kamrup Metropolitan District Commissioner. Key changes include:

• Route 23 E (D): U-turns at Dharapur-Machkhowa and Ganeshguri-Khanapara under the Shantipur-Bhutnath-Kamakhya flyover.
• Route 36 E (D): Dharapur-Machkhowa, U-turns under Shantipur-Bhutnath-Kamakhya flyover, and Paltan Bazar-Bashishta Temple.
• Route 54: Two diesel-powered buses will operate on both sides of the road from Dharapur-Machkhowa-Dharapur.
