Attempted Abduction of Schoolchildren in Assam’s Jorhat Sparks Panic

In a sensational incident in Jorhat district, Assam, two unidentified miscreants attempted to abduct two school students in broad daylight on Saturday. The incident occurred in Garakosa village, under Selenghat police station. The children were walking home from school when the miscreants, in a white vehicle, tried to seize them. One abductor grabbed a student, but the other child’s screams alerted a nearby woman, causing the abductors to flee. The suspects wore masks, revealing only their eyes. This attempted abduction follows a similar incident on May 20 in Mariani, raising alarm in the area. Police are investigating the latest incident.
