Award-Winning Animated Film on Lachit Borphukan Released on Birth Anniversary

An internationally acclaimed animated documentary, Lachit – The Warrior, based on the life of Ahom commander Lachit Borphukan, was released publicly today on Pi Media’s social platforms.

The film has been screened at 50 international festivals, including IFFI Goa, Cannes Marché du Film and events in New York, Milan and Berlin, winning multiple awards.

Directed by Dr Parthasarathi Mahanta and produced by Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah, the film honours the legacy of Lachit Borphukan and aims to inspire cultural pride among youth.
