Bangladesh High Commission Plans Visa Centre in Silchar for Enhanced Accessibility

In a significant development aimed at easing the visa application process for individuals planning visits to Bangladesh, the Bangladesh High Commission is set to establish a visa centre in Silchar. Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Ruhul Amin, revealed the plan during a visit to attend the Bhasha Sanskritik Milan Utsav program, where he informed the Citizens’ Rights Protection Coordination Committee (CRPCC) delegation from Assam. The visa centre, expected to commence operations by March this year, is particularly beneficial for residents of Barak Valley and nearby regions. Outsourcing affairs to a supervised company, the centre aims to streamline and facilitate the visa application process for the local populace. The move has been warmly welcomed by the CRPCC Assam delegation, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the people in the valley.
