Bangladeshi Man Stranded in No-Man’s Land Along Meghalaya Border

South West Garo Hills: A 55-year-old Bangladeshi national, identified as Sati Rajbanshi from Bangladesh’s Rajshahi district, remained stranded in the no-man’s land near Mahendraganj along the India-Bangladesh border after talks between the BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh failed to resolve the issue.

BSF officials said flag meetings were held, but no agreement was reached. The BSF maintained that the man is a Bangladeshi citizen and rejected attempts to push him into Indian territory.

The incident occurred amid heightened border surveillance and efforts to prevent illegal infiltration along the eastern frontier.
