Bhutan Police to Train at Assam’s Lachit Barphukan Academy
Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika announced that Bhutan Police will soon receive training at the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, strengthening regional security. The academy has previously trained Manipur and Goa Police, enhancing its reputation as a top training institution. The announcement comes ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Assam on March 14, where he will inaugurate the upgraded academy and review law enforcement policies. Shah will also visit Mizoram and attend the ABSU conference in Kokrajhar on March 16.
