BJP-AGP Alliance Confident of Record-Breaking Win in Assam Polls

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed strong confidence in a “record-breaking” and “unprecedented” victory for the BJP-led alliance as candidates filed nominations on the final day.

Speaking during nomination events of AGP leaders Keshab Mahanta and Atul Bora, Sarma highlighted alliance unity and said the results would “surprise everyone,” without specifying numbers.

He also announced a major education promise, stating the government would bear students’ expenses from school to university.

AGP and regional allies reaffirmed support for the alliance, while BJP candidate Ranoj Pegu emphasized development achievements and sought public backing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a major rally in Dhemaji on April 1.
