BJP Highlights Development Push Ahead of Assam Polls

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized the BJP’s development agenda in Assam, citing major infrastructure investments across the Northeast. He stated that projects worth around ₹5 lakh crore are being rolled out, with significant portions already completed and others under implementation or in the pipeline.
Gadkari noted that investments in roads, highways, and logistics aim to improve connectivity and boost regional economic growth.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has centered its campaign on development, with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighting governance achievements and welfare initiatives.
Reaffirming the party’s ideology, Gadkari stressed inclusivity and “unity in diversity,” underscoring support for constitutional rights across communities.
Polling in Assam is scheduled for April 9, putting the state government’s performance to the test.
