BJP Leader Urges Assam CM to Resolve Assam-Meghalaya Taxi Dispute

BJP leader Sanbor Shulai has called on Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to mediate the escalating taxi row between Assam and Meghalaya. Shulai emphasized the need for dialogue between transport associations, as the dispute harms tourism and daily life.

The All Assam United Motor Transport Association (AAUMTA) threatened to halt essential goods supply to Meghalaya after the All Khasi Meghalaya Tourist Taxi Association demanded restrictions on Assam tourist vehicles. Shulai urged a peaceful resolution to benefit both states and enhance tourist experiences.
