BJP Slams New Opposition Alliance as “Anti-Assam Coalition”

The BJP attacked the revived opposition alliance of Congress, Raijor Dal, and AJP, calling it an “anti-Assam coalition driven by personal ambition.” BJP spokesperson Suranjan Dutta accused leaders Gaurav Gogoi, Akhil Gogoi, and Lurinjyoti Gogoi of betraying public trust.
He said Akhil Gogoi, once a critic of Congress, has joined it to retain his MLA post, while AJP has abandoned its founding principles for power. Dutta also warned that Congress returning to power would harm Assam and alleged Rahul Gandhi promised to return evicted government and forest land to “illegal settlers.”
