BJP to Field Candidate in Dergaon, Says Himanta Biswa Sarma

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said the BJP will field its own candidate in the Dergaon Assembly constituency in the upcoming elections, with the party considering a new face. He added that the BJP has no objection if NDA ally AGP also contests the seat, calling it a possible friendly contest. Dergaon is currently held by AGP. Sarma also dismissed speculation of alliance tensions, stating that seat-sharing within the NDA would be smooth.
