Body of Missing Man Found in Pond in Barpeta District

In a tragic incident, the body of 50-year-old Alimuddin Ali was recovered from a pond in Majkuchi village, Barpeta district, on Sunday. Ali, a resident of Moukhari village, had been missing since June 23. Despite extensive search efforts by his family, his body was only found when villagers spotted it in a pond. The family and local authorities, including the police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), were promptly notified. An SDRF team recovered the body, and the police are investigating the circumstances of his death, considering both accidental and foul play scenarios.
