Brahmaputra Erosion Threatens Settlements in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, Assam: Fresh riverbank erosion along the Brahmaputra at Mohanaghat near Tingkhong Bhoga Ali has raised concerns as the advancing river threatens nearby settlements, farmland and public infrastructure.

District officials inspected the affected area, while the Water Resources Department intensified anti-erosion measures to prevent further damage. Authorities said the situation is being closely monitored and additional protective steps will be taken if required.
