Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival Postponed to 2026 in Tribute to Zubeen Garg

The 10th Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival (BVFF), originally set for December 2025, has been postponed to 2026 as a mark of respect for late cultural icon Zubeen Garg.
Festival Director Tanushree Hazarika said celebrating during a time of mourning felt inappropriate, calling Zubeen “an emotion that united the Northeast.” BVFF officials assured full refunds for filmmakers and thanked supporters for their understanding. The festival plans to return stronger next year, honoring Garg’s enduring legacy.
