BTC Chief Unveils Statue of Bhupen Hazarika, Announces Development Plans

On Tuesday, BTC Chief Pramod Boro unveiled a statue of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Kokrajhar, marking the legendary singer’s death anniversary. He also launched a souvenir titled Bhupendra Baibhav. Boro emphasized the statue symbolizes unity and social harmony. He announced initiatives including a statue of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha in Tamulpur, a Bhupen Hazarika Bhawan in Baksa, and the translation of 200 Hazarika songs into Bodo. These efforts aim to preserve culture and promote development in Bodoland.
