Buffalo Fights Held in Sivasagar Despite High Court Ban

Buffalo fights were informally conducted near Sivasagar’s Rang Ghar during the Rang Ghar Winter Mela, defying the Gauhati High Court’s ban. The Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad (TAYPA) denied official involvement, attributing the fights to buffalo-herders after felicitation ceremonies.
