Businessman Mistakenly Killed Over Land Dispute in Bajali District

A businessman, Ibrahim Ali, was mistakenly killed by a group of six assailants in Bajali district’s Dhumarpur area. The attackers intended to kill his elder brother over a land dispute but targeted Ibrahim instead. The incident occurred while Ibrahim and his mother, Shahera Khatun, were returning home from a nearby warehouse. Shahera Khatun was also seriously injured.

Ibrahim’s elder brother, Ismile Hussain, explained that the attackers were contract killers who had come to kill him. The family had received numerous death threats and suspected the involvement of individuals linked to drug smuggling and other crimes.

The Bajali police have launched an investigation into the case.
