Cachar BLFs Secure Highest Tea Prices in Assam Auctions

Cachar district’s bought leaf factories fetched the highest average tea price of ₹248.6 per kg in August auctions, followed by Lakhimpur at ₹222.08. According to the Tea Board of India, Sivasagar (₹219) and Charaideo (₹216.91) also performed strongly, while Kokrajhar recorded the lowest at ₹123.04. In West Bengal, prices remained lower, with Jalpaiguri leading at ₹123.17.
