Cachar Gears Up for Dholai By-Poll on November 13

Following the Election Commission’s announcement of by-polls in five Assam constituencies, including Dholai, the Cachar district administration and police have intensified preparations. District officials, including Commissioner Mridul Yadav and SP Numal Mahatta, assured a free and fair election, focusing on security near the Assam-Mizoram border.

Polling for Dholai’s 1,97,642 voters will take place across 208 stations on November 13, with vote counting on November 23. The Model Code of Conduct is now in effect, and candidates can file nominations starting October 18.
