Case Filed Against Man for Trespassing and Hurting Religious Sentiments in Meghalaya Church
The East Khasi Hills Police in Meghalaya have filed a case against Akash Sagar for trespassing into the Mawlynnong village Church and allegedly singing “Jai Sri Ram” at the altar, an act seen as offensive.
The incident occurred on Thursday, and investigations are underway to arrest Sagar. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma condemned the act, emphasizing the need to maintain communal harmony.
The BJP and social activist Angela Rangad have also criticized Sagar, calling his actions disrespectful and potentially harmful to religious sentiments.
