CCEA Approves Upgradation of Kalibor-Numaligarh NH-715 with Wildlife Corridor

The CCEA approved widening and improvement of Assam’s Kalibor-Numaligarh section of NH-715 at a cost of ₹6,957 crore. The 85.7 km project includes a 34 km elevated wildlife corridor through Kaziranga, road upgradation, and bypasses to improve safety, decongest traffic, and boost connectivity between Guwahati, Kaziranga, and Numaligarh. It is expected to generate over 34 lakh person-days of employment and enhance tourism and economic growth
