Centre Allocates ₹1,940 Crore for Northeast NH Works in 2025-26
The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has allocated ₹1,940 crore for National Highway works in the Northeast for FY 2025-26.
Under the NH(O)-NE State Pool, Arunachal Pradesh gets the highest share at ₹1,300 crore, followed by Meghalaya ₹135 crore and Assam ₹120 crore. Under NH(O)-TSP, Arunachal receives ₹160 crore, Nagaland ₹110 crore, Mizoram ₹25 crore, and Meghalaya ₹30 crore.
Funds must be used strictly for sanctioned NH projects within approved limits.
