Centre Approves ₹314 Crore Flood Relief for Assam

The Union government approved ₹313.69 crore additional assistance for Assam to aid recovery from 2024 floods and landslides. The funds, sanctioned by a high-level committee chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah, will be released from the NDRF. This comes alongside earlier relief packages, aiming to speed up restoration and strengthen Assam’s disaster resilience.
